EIMC has opportunities for marine surveyors to join our growing team in the greater Chicago area and the Pacific Northwest. Experienced mariners interested in coming ashore and/or new graduates interested in pursuing a career ashore are encouraged to apply.
EIMC has provided global risk management and claims services to marine insurers, brokers, forwarders, vessel owners & charterers, and other stakeholders for over seventy years. Our North American survey services include cargo, project cargo, heavy lift, hull & machinery and fine art transportation survey and inspection services as well warehouse, port & terminal, and intermodal facility inspection services. We are Lloyds and CESAM agents in multiple locations and continue to grow our global market share.

Job Requirements:
Staff surveyors are expected to possess a strong working knowledge of marine transportation infrastructure, vessel/port/terminal operations, and cargo-specific areas of expertise based on education, training and experience.
Licensure as a deck or engineering officer in the US, Canada, or UK is desirable, but candidates with applicable shoreside experience and related expertise are also encouraged to apply.
Independence, critical thinking and strong written communication skills are integral to success. Foreign language skills and specialty qualifications are appreciated and will be evaluated on an individual basis.
