CSL is hiring experienced Watchkeeping Mates for immediate positions.

Duties and Responsibilities
For 2nd Officer:
To ensure all activities of the CSL vessel for which the Second Officer (also Section Mate or Navigational Officer) serves are carried out under effective Safety Management System policies and procedures.
To ensure that their areas of responsibility on the ship, including; navigation, cargo, hull and equipment and administrative duties are in accordance with the Transport Canada Regulations, codes of practice or standards that may be applicable to the operation of the vessel; this duties and responsibilities description defines the expectations of CSL with respect to the Second Officer.
For 3rd Officer:
To ensure all activities of the CSL vessel for which the Third Officer (also, Third Mate and Safety Representative) serves are carried out under effective Safety Management System policies and procedures.
To ensure that their areas of responsibility on the ship, including; navigation, cargo, hull and equipment, training and administrative duties are in accordance with the Transport Canada Regulations, codes of practice or standards that may be applicable to the operation of the vessel; this duties and responsibilities description defines the expectations of CSL with respect to the Third Officer.
Job Requirements:
Qualification and skills
Certificate of competency issued by Transport Canada
Experience in the position is an asset.
