CSL is hiring experienced Chief Mates for immediate positions.

Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure all activities of the CSL vessels for which the First Officer (also, Chief Officer/First Mate) serves are carried out under effective Safety Management System policies and procedures.

To ensure that their areas of responsibility on the ship, including; navigation, cargo, hull and equipment are in accordance with the Transport Canada Regulations, codes of practice or standards that may be applicable to the operation of the vessel; this duties and responsibilities description defines the expectations of CSL with respect to the Chief Officer.

Job Requirements:

Qualification and skills
Chief Officer Near Coastal competency issued by Transport Canada

GLPA Pilotage Certificate

Experience in the position of Chief Mate

Location:

Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway and East Coast Trade Routes
