Assistant Engineer

Stands watch over the Engineering Department;
Oversees the watch ensuring safe and efficient crew operation;
Maintains propulsion equipment;
Maintains generator equipment;
Maintains auxiliary equipment;
Inventories Lube oil;
Oversees the vessel start up and shut down;
Reports to the Chief Engineer daily;
Observes and implements the night orders issued by the Chief Engineer;
Troubleshoot systems as issues arise;
Step in when needed or train crew members in barge operations and machinery;
MUST BE ABLE TO LEGALLY ENTER CANADIAN WATERS

MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT
